HOUSES LET IN LODGINGS
OR OCCUPIED BY MEMBERS OF
MORE THAN ONE FAMILY.
Regarding this question of the greatest
importance in the practical working of
sanitary administration in the class of property
to which it refers, I gave early attention
to the 94 sec. of the Public Health
(London) Act, 1891, which directs:
"That every sanitary authority shall make
and enforce such Bye-laws as are requisite
for the following matters, viz:—
(a) For fixing the number of persons who may
occupy a house or part of a house which
is let in lodgings or occupied by members
of more than one family.
(b) For the registration of houses so let or
occupied.
(c) For the inspection of such houses.
