PUERPERAL FEVER.
During 1895, in Lambeth 13 deaths were registered from
Puerperal Fever (a disease of child-bed), as compared with
11 during 1894, and an annual average of 15.9 during the
last 10 years (1885—94).
16 cases were notified, giving a case mortality of 81.3%.
In London during 1895 there were registered 208 deaths out of a total of 249 cases notified, giving a case mortality of 83.5%.
