Erysipelas.
As many as 719 cases, or an average of 13·8 per week, were
reported. The number is nearly three per week more than that
of the preceding year.
From the beginning to nearly the close of the year the curve of
the disease was marked by a steady upward tendency. Thus, in the
first quarter there were 103 cases, in the second 146, in the third 206,
and in the fourth 264.
The highest sickness-rate was registered in Upper Holloway, and
the lowest in Highbury. These rates were respectively 2·65 and l·09
per 1,000 inhabitants,
