Influenza prevailed to a considerable extent in the first quarter of
the year, when it was the cause of 31 deaths; this number, however, fell
to 23 in the second quarter, and to 9 in the third quarter. With the
advent of the fourth quarter the disease became very prevalent, and
was fatal to 60 persons.
