This table may be read in the following manner:-Out of every
1,000 persons in the population, 118 are under five years, of whom
57 are males, and 61 females.
I have prepared another Table (XI.), which shows the age distribution
of the population in several districts as well as in England and
Wales, from which it will he seen that places differ very materially in
this resnect.
