Of the 2,497 deaths registered during the year, 598 or 23 . 7 per
cent, took place in public institutions.
The percentages in the several classes of institutions in Fulham and London were as follows : —

PUBLIC MORTUARY, 182 bodies were removed to the Mortuary during the year and were admitted as follows: —

Inquests were held on 178, and post-mortem examinations were
made in 93 of the above cases.
DISINFECTION.
Infected articles were disinfected by the contractor, Mr. Lacy,
St. John's Wharf, Townmead Road, by whom they were also collected.
The weight of the articles disinfected was 2,260 cwt, and the amount
paid by the Vestry to Mr. Lacy ,£1,412 16s. Iod. During the last
three years the cost of disinfection has averaged £1,143 a year.
A very complete disinfecting station is now being erected in
Townmead Road, and will probably be ready for use in October next.
