Carriageway-Asphalte.— The carriageway of
Chapel Street, between Suffolk Street and Liverpool
Road, was paved with compressed asphalte.
Channels.—The channels in the following streets
were taken up and re-laid with second-hand granite
cubes, from Depot, on concrete:-
Holford Square, part of.
Claremont Square, West side.
Northampton Square, North side.
Sidney Street.
Green Terrace, between Gloucester Street and
Lloyd's Row.
Macadam Roads.—The following Macadam roads
were re-metalled and steam rolled:—
Claremont Square, West side.
Amwell Street (part of).
Holford Square (part of).
Northampton Square (part of).
Upper Charles Street (centre only).
Sidney Street.
Green Terrace.
Lloyd's Row.
Upper Ashby Street.
Weston Street, from Pentonville Road to
Messrs. Whitbread's South gateway.
Lower Charles Street.
The footways of Chapel Street between Liverpool
Road and Suffolk Street were paved with
Mastic asphalte.
