Dusting, Slopping, &c.,
For the Year to March 25th, 1897.
Dusting.—During the year 9631 loads of dust and 835
loads of trade refuse have been removed from the Parish. After
sifting same, 143 freights of ashes and breeze, containing 9415
chaldrons have been removed from the Wharf, for which a sum
of £732 19s. 5d. has been received, being an average of
£5 2s. 6d. per freight, as compared with £4 14s. 0d.. £4 7s. 3d.
and £3 16s. 5d. for the three previous years. 18 freights of
hardcore have been removed, for which barges have been hired
at a cost of £83 6s. 0d.
