DEATH-RATE.
There were go deaths registered in the district.
Four of these were persons belonging to other districts,
and have, therefore, to be transferred to their own particular
locality. The corrected total of 86 yields a deathrate
for the district of 6.8 per 1000.
Twenty-eight deaths of persons living outside the
district were referred to Wealdstone in the final distribution.
Adding these to the previous number in order
to obtain the nett total of 114 deaths, we arrive at a nett
death-rate of 8.7 per 1000; which is somewhat lower
than that of last year (9.0), and may be considered very
satisfactory.
Table III., appended to the Report, gives the different
causes of death, arranged under the various age limits.
Twenty-six persons died at the age of 70 and over;
10 had arrived at 80 and over; 1 had attained the advanced
age of 91.
