away altogether with the Harrow Sewage Farm, which
is in close proximity to a growing portion of this district,
and has from time to time given rise to serious
complaints from residents living near.
DISPOSAL OF HOUSE REFUSE, Etc.
A weekly collection is made in the Council's carts.
Two thousand, two hundred and seven loads were
removed at a cost of £403, or an average of about 3s. 9d.
per house. About half of this is tipped at the Farm, the
remainder being destroyed in the Garbage Distructor at
the Sewage Outfall Works.
METHOD OF DISINFECTING ROOMS, Etc.
This is carried out by means of fumigation, with
the vapour of Formaldehyde and spraying with a solution
of Formalin. This is done free of charge to theoccupier,
and disinfectants are provided free of cost.
