ORSETT RURAL DISTRICT COUNCIL.

Orsett Rural District Council consists of the Orsett Poor
Law Union except Grays and Tilbury.
The Area is 36,148 acres.
Population, Census 1911: 18,445.
Population, estimated 1925: 23,900.
VITAL STATISTICS.
Number of Births registered was 419—196 Males, 223
Females.
Number of Deaths registered was 211—110 Males, 101
Females.
Birth-rate per 1,000 per annum was 17.53.
Death-rate per 1,000 per annum was 8.78.
Infant Mortality, viz.: number of deaths occurring under
one year of age was 31.
Infant Mortality rate was 73.98 per 1,000 births.
