ANNUAL REPOUT
OF THE
Inspector of Nuisances
For the year endhig 1904.
Orsett Rural Sanitary Authority.
I beg to report that during the past year, four
hundred and thirty-three houses have been inspected
and sixty-nine have been disinfected, after cases of
infectious diseases. Bedding and wearing apparel
are conveyed in a closed van to the Steam Disinfector,
disinfected and returned to the owners
promptly.
Disinfectants are supplied by me in all cases of
Infectious Diseases, also to any person who requires
some for sinks and drains.
The usual notices are sent to the Schoolmasters
by the Medical Officer of Health, at once notifying
them of any case of Infectious Disease.
After cases are convalescent, or moved to the
Hospital, and the fumigations have been carried
out, notice is sent by me to the Schoolmasters or
School Attendance Officers, that the children may
return to school.
HOUSES CONNECTED TO SEWERS.
There have been one hundred and six houses
connected on to the Public Sewers, these are
situated at Chadwell-St.-Mary, Lower Ward, Little
Thurrock, and Stanford-le-Hope.
