The illegitimate births in nursing homes have againr been
allocated to the home addresses of the mothers.
The percentage of illegitimate births to total births was
3.88.
Notification of Births Act.
The following Table shows the number of births notified in
each sub-district and in the whole Borough, the persons by
whom notified and whether the children were born alive or dead.

The' percentage of births notified, less still-births, to those
registered was 99, compared with 98.6 in 1920.
Deaths.
During the year ending the 31st December, 1921, 3,103
deaths, 1,395 of males and 1,708 of females, occurred, compared
with 3,080 in 1920.
