The recording of these inspections in addition to the routine work
of the department has thrown a large amount of extra duties upon the
clerical staff—duties which have been admirably discharged.
The purity of the food supply, primarily the responsibility of the
Food Inspector, has been satisfactorily maintained.
The Report of the Inspectors of the Ministry of Health upon their
survey of the health services of the Borough showed that a satisfactory
standard is being maintained by the Borough Council.
In conclusion, to Dr. Donnelly and to Dr, Hill I desire to express
my sincere appreciation of their valuable work in their respective
spheres—Tuberculosis and Maternity and Child Welfare; and to the
Staff generally my thanks for their loyal co-operation.
Your obedient Servant,
F. Leonard Keith,
Medical Officer of Health.
