Public Health (Prevention of Tuberculosis) Regulations,
1925. It was not found necessary to take any action in relation
to any tuberculous employee in the milk trade.
Christmas Gifts. We have to thank Miss Greig our Dispenser
who this year, again, provided a pleasant afternoon for many of
our child patients. Cakes and toys distributed to the children
were obtained from the Clerical Staff Xmas Gift Fund of the
Prudential Insurance Company, through Miss Greig's efforts.
Handicraft Centre.
The Handicraft Class has continued very successfully throughout
the year. Articles now made, are felt animals, gollywogs, etc.,
repousee metal work, leather work, gloves, trays, stools, mats,
and embroidered bags, etc.
An Exhibition of the work from the Deptford Centre and those
of Lewisham, Camberwell and Lambeth was held at the
Borough Hall, and was opened by the Mayor. I am informed
by Mrs. Monk that sales amounted to £41 17s. 10d. for Deptford
and £36 17s. 10d. for the other boroughs.
At the end of the year under report, Mrs. Monk, who amid
many other activities still finds time for the very considerable
work attached to the supervision of purchases, sales, etc.,
organised for the class another very enjoyable tea and evening
entertainment, Councillor W. Taylor and other members of the
Tuberculosis Care Committee assisting by providing artistes and
refreshments.
