Report of Tuberculosis Officer - continued,
definitely contacts of any case of tuberculosis, gave two positive
results and one negative.
Two were contacts of T.B. — cases, one giving a + and one a
negative result. Of the other 9 T.B.+ contacts, six were + and
three negative.
In these results some apparent discrepancies, such as a contact
of a T.B.+ case giving a negative result, or a contact of a
T.B. — case giving a + result, may be accounted for by shortness
of time of contact in the first instance, or by the possibility that,
in the second case, there may have been an unknown common
source of infection for the T.B. — case and its contact.
