TUBERCULOSIS.

Health.

The Scheme of the Borough Council for dealing with Tuberculosis
has followed along former lines, under the able direction of Dr. N. M.
Donnelly, the Tuberculosis Officer. The following is the text of
Dr. Donnelly's Report for 1932:—
I have pleasure in submitting herewith the Annual Report on
Tuberculosis work in the Borough.
Notifications. The following table gives a summary of the
notifications received from the 3rd January, 1932, to the
31st December, 1932, and is prepared in accordance with the
requirements of the Ministry of Health.
The number of Primary Notifications is 211; 176 Pulmonary
Tuberculosis and 35 Non-pulmonary, as compared with 160
Pulmonary and 28 Non-pulmonary for the previous year.
*By international agreement, cases of miliary tuberculosis, which, prior
to 1926, were classified under "Pulmonary," arc now included under "Nonpulmonary
Tuberculosis.''
