In 121 cases no inquests were held, the necessary certificate being
issued by the Coroner.
The causes of death were as follows:

| Suicide while of unsound mind | 28 | Total | 340 |
43 bodies were left at the Mortuary, after the inquest, to await
burial, owing to advanced decomposition, or there being no accommodation
at the respective homes.
