Report of Tuberculosis Officer—continued.
(1924) pulmonary tuberculosis, 169 were seen at the Dispensary.
In the case of 23 the diagnosis was not confirmed. 90 of them
were known to have tubercle bacilli in the sputum, and of these
82 were seen at the Dispensary. In the case of 11 of these,
tuberculosis was notified in another member of the family between
1924 and the end of 1929. Another tuberculous case, not seen
at the Dispensary, had a contact notified subsequently. Two of
the 1924-notifications were themselves contacts of previously
known cases. It is interesting to note that of the 236 notifications
104 are now known to be dead.
