the end of the year.
All butchers' shops in the Borough are systematically inspected,
and, in the main, they are well kept and provided with cold storage
facilities. During the year 1,170 inspections of these premises were
carried out by the Council's food inspector.
Sale of Food and Drugs Acts.
The total number of samples taken under these Acts during
1922 was 961.
Of this number 77 (i.e., 8 per cent.) were certified by the Public
Analyst to be adulterated.
