The Woman Inspector also attends regularly the meetings of
the Care Committee.
Of the above, 1,107 revisits were paid to old cases. The
total number of these cases on the register at the end of the year
was 497. Many of these cases are chronic cases, and have been
on the register for years, and are not receiving medical attention.
A number of them maintain they are recovered, as may probably
be the case. As they refuse either to attend the Dispensary or
see a doctor, though urged to do so, it is not considered desirable
to lose sight of them. They are, therefore, visited very occasionally,
and every effort is made to induce them, sometimes with success,
to attend the Tuberculosis Dispensary for examination.
