£10,556 transferred from Deposit Account) was £223,223, and
that the total expenditure was £229,460. Of this, however,
only £82,580 was for the local purposes of the Vestry, including
£30,305 expended out of loang received during the year.
"We also find that the total of the rates levied, inclusive
of "additions," was £189,594, of which £174,862 was collected.
The "irrecoverables" amounted to £12,711, or per cent., of
which £8,117, or 4¼ per cent., was due to properties being
empty.
As might have been expected from the evidence borne by
the books of the regular and periodical examination by the
Finance Committee, we have found all the items duly vouched ;
and we have found the accounts and the abstracts thereof
correct in every respect. We have, therefore, had no hesitation
in giving our certificate of allowance.
Everything has been placed before us in a straightforward
and satisfactory manner.
