Measles rose to the highest number in March, and since then
has been gradually decreasing; 74, however, out of 790 cases,
have proved fatal.
Scarlet Fever has been more or less prevalent all through the
year, especially since April, when there were 39 cases, but out
of the 301 cases that have occurred only 2 deaths are recorded
within the district, though 17 occurred in outlying institutions.
