The following deaths occurred at the undermentioned
ages, viz.:—
Above sixty, 142; above seventy, 90; above eighty, 31;
above ninety, 7.

The following is a table of deaths from zymotic causes during the past three years :—

1885).1890.1891.
Small Pox000
Measles273831
Scarlet Fever340
Whooping Cough334234
Diarrhoea314532
Dysentery000
Cholera000
Fever346
97133105

The above table shows a decrease, in reference to the
previous year, of 28 deaths arising from zymotic causes, and on
examination of the table of deaths a decrease of 60 as compared
with the previous year, and as the deaths from bronchitis alone
show an increase of 41 this year over last, owing mainly, no doubt,
to the intensely severe winter through which we have passed, the
health of the inhabitants of the united parishes must be considered
extremely good.
The death-rate for the year is as nearly as possible 18.
The notification of diseases of a zymotic character continues
to afford great assistance in enabling me to direct the inspectors
to take immediate steps to improve the sanitary condition of the
dwellings ; this has been regularly carried out, and, in the majority
of instances, with the very best results.
