SCHOOL BOARD FOR LONDON.
Precept and
Rate.
The amount required of the ratepayers for
the year under review was £22,899 8s. 11d.,
being a further reduction, as compared with the Precept for
the previous year, of £1,010 15s. 7d. The amount required
in respect of the grant received, in lieu of rates, on the
government property in the parish was £1,961 19s. 7d., or
£60 10s. 11d. less than the previous year.
The ratepayers were called upon to pay an extra sum
this year on account of the triennial election of the School
Board, which was held on 26th November. The
