under the latter name in 1864, Dean Street, already mentioned,
added to and named with Great Smith Street in
1865, when also Duck Lane was designated St. Matthew
Street. Bowling Street took the name of Tufton Street,
of which it formed part, and Vine Street was merged
in Romney Street in 1869-70.
