Insulin Treatment.
In March, 1928, an application was received from the
Victoria Hosp„al for Children asking the Council to provide
Insulin for a child aged 10 who was a„ending the Hosp„al

the Ministry of Health gave their sanction to the issue of a
temporary supply of Insulin for patients suffering from diabetes
among the poorer inhab„ants of the Borough.
The drug was first supplied to the child's mother in May,
1928. He is still receiving treatment and there is considerable
improvement in his cond„ion. The cost to the Council up to the
end of 1930 was £30 5s.
