DISINFECTION.
The total number of disinfections of rooms during the year by the
Council's disinfecting staff was 942. Of this number 805 rooms
were disinfected after the occurrence of the ordinary notifiable infectious
diseases, and 137 after cases of phthisis.
1,513 verminous rooms were sulphured and otherwise cleansed by
the Council's staff during the year, as against 1,483 in 1935.
Among the total number of disinfections (942) it was found unnecessary
to strip any rooms.
