DISINFECTION.
The total number of disinfections of rooms during the year by the
Council's disinfecting staff was 1,223. Of this number 993 rooms
were disinfected after the occurrence of the ordinary notifiable infectious
diseases, and 230 after cases of phthisis.
1,483 verminous rooms were sulphured and otherwise cleansed by
the Council's staff during the year, as against 1,627 in 1934.
Among the total number of disinfections (1,223) it was found un
necessary to strip any rooms.
