DISINFECTION.
The total number of disinfections of rooms during the year by the
Council's disinfecting staff was 1,721. Of this number 1,528 rooms
were disinfected after the occurrence of the ordinary notifiable infectious
diseases, and 193 after cases of phthisis.
1,627 verminous rooms were sulphured and otherwise cleansed by
the Council's staff during the year, as against 1,449 in 1933.
Among the total number of disinfections (1,721) it was found necessary
to strip 2 rooms.
