A total of 328 persons were recommended to the L.C.C. for Institutional
treatment and 27 other persons were recommended to that
Authority for observation and diagnosis.
A large number of advanced cases were sent to the Public Assistance
Committee of the L.C.C. for admission to the old Poor Law Hospitals.
They are still dealt with by the Relieving Officers.
NON-PULMONARY TUBERCULOSIS.
Surgical cases of bones, glands and joints are admitted to suitable
sanatoria or to the Orthopaedic Departments of Children's Hospitals.
Three patients received artificial sunlight treatment at Guy's
Hospital and the Council's liability is Is. per head for each sitting in
these cases.
ARTIFICIAL PNEUMO-THORAX TREATMENT.
This form of treatment has again been a large item in the Dispensary

training at Burrow Hill Colony, Frimley, Surrey.
INVALID CHILDREN'S AID ASSOCIATION.
This Association continues to give us great assistance in dealing with
delicate children I have recommended for convalescent treatment, and
the boarding out of contact children of advanced T.B. cases living at
home, under the L.C.C. Scheme.
11 children were thus dealt with during the year.
