MEDICAL OFFICER OF HEALTH,
for the
YEAR ENDING 25TH MARCH, 1890.
Gentlemen,
During the past year 4,543 births—2,323 males and 2,220
females—and 2,882 deaths were registered in this Parish. Deducting
448 deaths of non-residents, which occurred in the Public Institutions
situated in this Parish, and bodies found in the Canal, the death rate
was 19.22 per 1,000 living—that is, 1.36 per 1,000 below the average
of the last five years.
