SEWERS WORK.
The following works, at the cost stated, have been executed by
the Contractor during the past year:—
Reeves Place—296 feet lineal 12-inch pipe sewer; 8 feet lineal
9-inch ditto; 70 feet lineal 6 inch ditto, together with extra bends,
&c., and including house connections, made £72 5s. 1d.
New urinal outlets as follows:
Phipp Street £3 14 9
Rivington Street 0 18 1
Weymouth Terrace 2 8 9
Shepherdess Walk 2 17 11
Jobbing work to sewers done and gulley outlets reconstructed
as follows—
28, 30, & 32, Hoxton Street £4 16 6

Harriet Square 3 13 9
Queen Square 1 1 6
Nuttall Street 12 8 8

* Reconstruction at the New River Companies Expense.
Private drain work. Forty-nine new house drains (from sewer to
line of frontage), reconstructions, &c., £118 1s. 1d.
Ditto—by the Vestry's workmen. Sixty-eight re-constructions,
&c. (from sewer to line of frontage), and openings, &c., to
unstop drains, £113 19s. 8d.
One brick and slate urinal was constructed in Weymouth Terrace
to plan and specification, under contract for a sum of about
£40 10s., exclusive of Yestry workmen's labour, paving, &c.
The sewers in the following localities are in a very unsatisfactory
condition, and should be reconstructed—
Calvert Street
*Livermere Road
Plough Yard
Dove Row
* Bad fall, owing to the shallowness of the Main line Sewer in Queens Road,
which is being replaced with a new and deeper sewer.
