CARRIAGEWAY PAYING.
The following works at the cost stated have been executed by
the contractor during the past year—
Kingsland Road—carriageway repaved with old redressed and
undressed granite pitchings, and a portion repaved with new
7" by 3" pitchings, all on concrete, and grouted, £2726
19s. 6d.
Nuttall Street (from Kingsland Road to Louisa Street)—carriageway
paved with old redressed and undressed granite pitchings,
carted from stone yard, on concrete, and grouted £160 17s. 7d.
Goldsmith Row (narrow portion)—carriageway repaved with new
7" by 3" granite pitchings, and a portion repaved with old
pitchings, all on Portland cement concrete, and grouted,
£149 5s. 5d.
Wilmer Gardens—a portion of channel paved with new 6" by 4"
granite pitchings, on concrete, and grouted, £7 5s. 9d.
Reeves Place—carriageway repaved with old redressed granite
pitchings, carted from stoneyard, on concrete, and grouted,
£97 0s. 3d.
East Road (from the junction of City Road to a supposed line
opposite No. 58)—carriageway repaved with old redressed and
undressed granite pitchings, and a portion repaved with new
7" by 3" pitchings, all on concrete, and grouted, £217 0s. 3d.
New Inn Yard—carriageway repaved with new 7" by 3" granite
pitchings, and a portion repaved with old redressed and
undressed pitchings, all on concrete, and grouted, £546 12s. 8d.
Little Spencer Street—carriageway repaved with old redressed
granite pitchings, carted from New Inn Yard, on concrete, and
grouted, £45 15s. 8d.
Paved granite crossings (private) as follows—
Rivington Street (south side) — £9 9s. 8d.*
Hearn Street (north side)—£5 18s. 1d.*
4, Francis Street—£3 11s. 9d.*
Union Place, Curtain Road.—£11 19s. 1d.*
Paved York edge orossing (private) by the Vestry's workmen, as
follows—
