DRINKING FOUNTAIN,
GREAT EASTERN STREET AND OLD STREET.
This handsome structure was completed and opened in
February last. The total cost was £1070 11s. 1d., and was
paid from the fund contributed by the Tramway Company for
the use of the paving belonging to the Vestry.
THE TOWN HALL.
During the year the Large Hall has been let 145 times; the
Council Chamber 24 times; the Committee Rooms have been used
by Local Societies, mostly free of charge.
The receipts for letting were £1,214 8s. 8d.

the year ended April 30th, 1881, is as follows—
