REPORT OF THE VESTRY CLERK.
Gentlemen,
During' the year ending Lady-day, 1881, the amount
collected on the Poor's Rate was £54,435 16s. 2d.; the
amount in the pound levied for the four quarters was 2s. 2d.,
being for the quarter to Midsummer, 7d.; to Michaelmas, 7d.;
to Christmas, 6d.; and to Lady-day, 6d.
During the previous year the Poor Rate was 2s. 1d.
The amount of the Guardians' Calls for the year ending
Lady-day, 1880, was £39,000; and for the last year, £43,500;
and for the half-year, Lady-day to Michaelmas, 1881, is
£27,000.
The amount owing to the Guardians at Lady-day, 1881,
was £4,750.
Further particulars of the expenditure of Poor Rate will be
found in the Balance Sheets, as audited and signed.
