Only the following works have been executed during the year
at a cost of £172 0s. 1d.
Essex Mews, Boston Stone—74 feet of 6 inch pipe 9 6 7
Ebenezer Place, Ivy Lane—120 feet run 12 inch

Shoreditch, by Refuge by Church—putting in new

Church Street, Wenlock Street—122 feet 12 inch

Four flushers and one laborer were employed in cleansing and
keeping in repair the sewers in the parish, at a cost of £251 9s. 5d.
for the year.
The wages of one man cleansing the urinals for the year was
£65 12s. 7d.
As regards the general condition of the parish I can state that
the carriageway paving, with a few exceptions, is in very good
order; the following are the exceptions which must very soon be
repaved or relaid—
Paul Street
New Inn Yard
Scrutton Street (Curtain Road to Holywell Row)
Clifton Street (portions)
Bevenden Street
Goldsmiths' Row (narrow way)
The footway paving except in a few instances is in very fair
order.
The condition of the sewers is also satisfactory.
