CARRIAGEWAY PAVING.
The following works have been executed at a cost of £3087 14s. 3d.

Two paviers and five laborers were employed in repairing the
paved roads, and repairing trenches, at a cost of £375 2s. 8d. for
the year, and the Gas and Water Companies contributed £77 11s. 0d.
There are about 51 miles of roads in the parish, of which about
11 are paved, the remainder being Mc Adam and Ballast.

The following works have been executed during the year at a

Hackney Road, by Shoreditch Church — portion
repaved with new patent Victoria stone, and
portion relaid 21 18 2
Great James Street— repaved with new Victoria
