REPORT OF THE ACCOUNTANT.
To the Vestry of St. Leonard, Shoreditch.
Gentlemen,
Herewith I present for the information of the
Vestry the annexed report, comprising a general statement of
the various receipts and disbursements (made under orders of
the Vestry; likewise an account of the monies owing to, and
the debts and liabilities against, the Vestry at the termination
of the financial year. On reference to the tables it will be
seen that the sum collected on the Poor Rate to be
£61,211 5s. 2d.; from the Vestry Rates £60,569 9s. 10d.
Total £121,780 15s. 0d. Under column, "Hire of Hall''
£1,213 8s. 4d.
The principal items forming the bulk of expenditure will
will be found to be payments to Guardians, £50,000;
Police Rate, £10,429 12s. 8d.; Parliamentary Registration,
including Jury List, £411 4s. 9d.; Precept Metropolitan
Board of Works, including Bridge expenses, £10,153 14s. 3d.;
