In the statement of the rates collected, the actual deficiency
from arrears, losses, and allowances to owners of 25 per cent.,
&c., upon one year's assessment, was £7,712 3s. 1d., being a
loss of about £6 6s. 8d. per cent. on the gross amount
charged, which is arrived at by deducting the amount collected
from the total amount of the assessment.
The further classified statements appended, to which I beg
to refer, give a clear and comprehensive view of the monetary
position and transactions of the Vestry.
