10th of March, 1874.Independent gas companyTo light the whole of the Public Lamps in that part of the Parish that is situate on the North side of Worship Street, the supply of Burners. Service Pipes, and Fittings, complete; also the Painting, Repairing, and the removal of Service Pipes when required, at £4 5s. 0d. per lamp, per annum.
Chartered Gas CompanyTo light the whole of the Public Lamps in that part of the Parish that is situate on the Seuth side of Worship Street. Four feet per hour Newcastle Coal Gas, each lamp per annum £4 6s. 3d., with an additional charge for Lighting, Cleansing, Painting, Repairs, &c. The charge is in accordance with the decision of the Commissioners appointed by the Board of Trade.
