REPORT OF THE SURVEYOR.
Surveyor's Department.
Gentlemen,
Herewith is appended a summary of the work carried out
under the superintendance of this department for the year ending
March 25th, 1873.
WATERING THE ROADS, STREETS, &c.
The whole of the parish was efficiently watered from 1st March to
31st October, 1872, for a sum of £1000.
The cost and quantity of water spread on the roads, &c., was as
follows—
New River Company,
5,909,000 Gallons £309 11 5
East London Water Company,
2,513,000 Gallons 108 18 9
Two new hydrants have been erected at a cost of £28 9s. 4d., and
the cost of keeping in repair the whole of the 19 hydrants belonging to
the Vestry was £4 4s. 8d. for the season.
