arc lighted by the Chartered Gas Company, Curtain Road, upon the
following terms, viz.:
Newcastle Coal Gas—
4-feet per hour each lamp £3 16s. per annum,
with 15/- each for lighting, cleansing, painting, repairs, &c.
The number of public lamps in the parish on the 25th March, 1864,

Watering the Roads.
For the purpose of watering the roads, the parish has been divided
into two districts, called the East Division and the West Division. The
East Division is watered by Mr. Abraham Dawson, of Cambridge
Terrace, Lower Road, Islington, who has contracted with the Vestry
to water the district from the 1st March, 1864, to the 29th September,
1864, for the sum of £420.
Mr. William Winn, of Gloucester Street, Curtain Road, has contracted
to water the roads within the Western Division, for the same
period, for the sum of £390.
