community by suggesting that the safety and well-being of the parents
depends upon the removal of those agencies which are hurtful to their
children. I bring forward this reflection in order to show the relation
between the zymotic diseases of children, the fever of adults, and the
common sources of insalubrity. It is right that it should be understood
that the preservation of our children is intimately associated with sanitary
improvement.
