TUNBRIDGE WELLSThe Corporation have engaged Mr. W.H. Preece, of the General Post Office, to report to them upon the whole question of the Lighting of the Borough by Electricity and the best means of carrying out the Provisional. Order. Land has recently been acquired on which an Electric Station many be erected, and Mr. Preece is preparing Plans, Estimates, and Specifications. Pending the receipt of Mr. Preece's report nothing further is being done.
