The ward of Canonbury it will be noticed had decreased in population
by nearly 1,500 during the decennial period ending 1891; but
notwithstanding there had been a net increase over the whole of the
parish of 36.278.

tenements consisting of one room, 16,716 of two rooms, &c.; and of the 12,856 tenements
consisting of one room, 4,559 had one occupant each, 4,240 two occupants, &c.
