The total cases of a supposed infectious character, together with the cases of Scarlet Fever, reported in each month, were as follows:—

From these figures it is quite apparent that as the Scarlet Fever
cases increased from month to month, so did the total cases of
infectious diseases also increase, pari passu, and that this increase was
almost entirely due to that disease. In the following table the
behaviour of Scarlet Fever and other infectious diseases in the various
districts is shown:—
