SAINT MARY, ISLINGTON.
Vestry Offices,
Upper Street, N.,
14th April, 1890.
To the VESTRY OF ST. MARY, ISLINGTON.
gentlemen,
I am directed by the Assessment Committee, appointed
by you under and pursuant to the "Valuation of Property (Metropolis)
Act, 1869," to submit (annexed) particulars of the objections
received and dealt with by them during the past year. The Committee
have held eighteen meetings for the purpose of dealing with these
objections. The net increase for the year in the rateable value of the
Parish as shewn by the Provisional Valuation Lists, is £15,385.
The Committee have awarded their Clerk £100 remuneration
for his services, subject to the approval of the Local Government Board,
and have directed me to express the hope that the Vestry will, as in
previous years, suspend their Resolution of 6th July, 1883, so that he
may receive the same without deduction.
I am, Gentlemen,
Yours obediently,
WM. F. DEWEY,
Clerk to the Assessment Committee.
