To the Vestry of St. James and St. John,
Clerkenwell.
Gentlemen,
I have the honour to present to you a report upon the
samples submitted to me for analysis, under the Sale of Food
and Drugs Acts, during the year ending 31st March, 1900.
The total number of samples of food and drugs examined
during that period was 303. The totals for the preceeding nine
years are as follows:—

Of the 303 samples, 300 were submitted for analysis by the
Vestry's Inspectors, Messrs. Green (130), Ensor (100), and the
late Inspector Bartlett (70), and 3 by private purchasers.
