TREES.
The total number of trees in the public streets is
224, planted as follows :—
St. John Street Road 18
Pentonville Road 9
Penton Street 23
Clerkenwell Green 22
Clerkenwell Close 2
Upper Chadwell Street 4
Rosebery Avenue, between Farring-
don Road and Holborn boundary 42
Rosebery Avenue, between Farringdon
Road and St. John Street

Total 224
The whole of the trees are now maintained by
the Vestry. Only 4 trees required replacing with
new.
MUSWELL HILL DRAINAGE.
The London County Council having concluded
negotiations with the Friern Barnet Local Board
for taking the sewage of Clerkenwell Detached,
constructed a 9-inch pipe sewer from a point in
Alexandra Road about 530 feet north of the
boundary, and continued same about 480 feet along
Muswell Avenue (late Wetherill Road). Plans and
